Kiccha 46 on the way! Teaser of Sudeep’s much-awaited next out this July

It’s been a few testing months for Kiccha Sudeep fans concerning his next outing, the much-fancied ‘Kiccha 46’. The actor’s last release as a leading man came back in July of 2022 in the form of Vikrant Rona and a lot was said and written about the direction he is likely to take as his follow-up film. With that film (Vikrant Rona) also turning out to be an underwhelming affair, the anticipation for the ensuing project only grew with time, with his fans hoping to see the star back in form.

A reunion with Anup Bhandari was speculated to be Kiccha 46 and so was a film with Tamil director Venkat Prabhu. Kannada ‘mass’ filmmaker Nanda Kishore, too, entered the mix and so did another Tamil filmmaker Cheran but it soon came to light that Sudeep had a surprise up his sleeve.

Popular Tamil producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu of V Creations, who has produced a number of noted films such as Kabali, Karnan and others in the past, announced that he would be bankrolling Kiccha 46. And a few days later, it emerged that Sudeep would be working with a debutant director named Vijay Karthikeyan for a Kannada-Tamil bilingual. Since then, the focus has shifted to the first look or the first glimpse of this rather intriguing project.

Well, the wait is (almost) finally over because we do have a date to look forward to. According to the latest update shared by the makers, the maiden teaser of Kiccha 46 will be out on July 2 at 11:46 am. The makers made the announcement with a special video featuring noted Kannada celebs such as Darling Krishna, Naveen Shankar, Kantara actress Sapthami Gowda, Vasuki Vaibhav, Anup Bhandari, Vinay Rajkumar and Daali Dhananjaya.

The teaser will arrive on the back of several queries that fans and film industry trackers currently carry - does the 51-year-old actor actually play a cop as rumoured? Is Simrat Kaur his leading lady? And is the film titled after the character he plays? These are only a few of the questions that are swirling in the air right but hopefully, xxx will bring some respite. More updates to follow.
