Kiccha Sudeep's next outing promises to be an out-and-out action entertainer. The makers of the untitled project, which is currently being referred to as Kiccha 46, recently released a promo to introduce the character that the actor plays. Sudeep's demonic 'anti-hero' shades in the film are revealed through a grotesque scene that plays out in the promo, which best serves as a small taste of what's to come.
Debutant Vijay Karthikeyan will be directing the feature with noted film Tamil producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu bankrolling the project. Ajaneesh B Loknath will score the music with Shivakumar J of KGF 2, Kabzaa and Salaar fame handling production design. Shekar Chandru will be the film's Director of Photography.
Much of the development of Kiccha 46 has been kept under wraps but the latest reports on social media reveal that a long shooting schedule is set to begin in the month of August. The reports claim that Sudeep will join the team in the first week of August for a 55-day long schedule which will be carried out in the coastal city of Mahabalipuram.
It is likely that much of the film will be set along this coastline, but could it also mean that the sea will be an important part of the narrative? The long shooting stint could also be expected to cover a majority of the film's portions.
Although the aforementioned promo suggests that the film is every bit the high-octane action entertainer that the fans expect, the makers have kept the core of the story a secret so far. There's been chatter, though, which hints at the 51-year-old actor playing a cop in the film and that the film could be named after the character he plays. One expected the same promo to shed more light on these aspects, but that wasn't to be.
Another "mystery" as far as Kiccha 46 is concerned is its leading lady. Simrat Kaur, who will soon be seen in Gadar 2, is rumoured to be part of the film and so is Kannada actress Samyukta Hornad but the official sources are yet to share a word on this.
