Kiccha 46: Billa Ranga Baasha most likely to be Sudeep's next? Here's what we know

The internet is currently buzzing with reports regarding Kiccha Sudeep's next. What has been tentatively titled 'Kiccha 46' to suggest the actor's 46th outing, the project has become a valid subject of discussion for fans and industry trackers who are now anxious to know what the superstar has in store. Sudeep, too, much to everyone's confusion, has been quite reluctant in divulging anything related to his next.

To refresh everyone's memories, Sudeep is currently associated with two major projects, at the least. The first one being the highly-anticipated fantasy-action-adventure epic Billa Ranga Baasha which sees his reunite with his Vikrant Rona director Anup Bhandari. Anup and Sudeep are also meant to work on a similar large-scale project called Ashwatthama but the former's recent tweet more or less confirmed that their combined focus is now set on Billa Ranga Baasha. 

In his recent exclusive chat with OTTplay, Anup Bhandari said that he awaits Sudeep to complete his CCL 2023 duties to make a formal announcement regarding the collaboration. He added that since the project (Billa Ranga Baasha) requires a lot of pre-production, the exact timeline of its development cannot be predicted.

The other big project that bears Kiccha Sudeep's name on it is the one helmed by ace Tamil director Venkat Prabhu. Sudeep has spoken about the film on a few occasions to confirm that he, quite indeed, is working with the Custody director but neither entity has divulged anything about the development, let alone making a formal announcement.

A source very close to Venkat Prabhu tells us that the filmmaker is currently busy with the Naga Chaitanya starrer Custody and that the post-production is in full swing for both Telugu and Tamil versions of the film. The same source adds that Venkat Prabhu will move on to his next only when the final copy of Custody is ready.

Now, with social media claiming that a major Kiccha 46-related update is around the corner, one wonders which of the two projects will be greenlit first. Will this all-important update arrive on Sri Rama Navami (March 30)? And if so, will that be related to Billa Ranga Baasha?

To put things in perspective, CCL 2023 is done with and since Venkat Prabhu is busy with another commitment, Billa Ranga Baasha, in all likelihood, could be Sudeep's next. And with Anup Bhandari already working on his script, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to think that the team BRB is ready to make things official. More updates to follow.
