Vidyut Jammwal is back to give bad guys a run for their money, as Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II Agni Pariksha is gearing up for its release. The film released its trailer recently, and shows Jammwal’s character going to extreme lengths to keep his family safe.
The trailer reveals that Sameer and Nargis’ family have grown, as they are shown to be parents to a little girl named Nandini. The young girl become the ray of sunshine in the couple’s lives. But soon tragedy strikes, when the girl is kidnapped by unknown assailants. Sameer takes it upon himself to bring his daughter back home at any cost, leading him down a dangerous path.

The upcoming film is a sequel to 2020’s Khuda Haafiz, which had a direct to OTT release on Disney+Hotstar. The original film, set against the background of the financial crisis of 2007–2008, saw Jammwal’s character go on an arduous journey to rescue his kidnapped wife.
The sequel, which will have a theatrical release, will see Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi reprise their roles as Sameer and Nargis respectively. In addition to the duo, the upcoming film also features Aahana Kumra, Annu Kapoor, Nawab Shah, Shiv Pandit and Vipin Sharma in pivotal roles.
Faruk Kabir, who had also written and directed the original film, has helmed the sequel. The film is presented by Zee Studios, Cinergy and Panorama Studios, and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. Sanjeev Joshi, Aditya Chowksey and Hasnain Hussaini are the co-producers of the film.
Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II Agni Pariksha will be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.
