KH 234: Kamal Haasan opens up about his much-awaited project with Mani Ratnam for the first time

Tamil film enthusiasts were excited to the core when Raaj Kamal Films International announced that Kamal Haasan is teaming up with Mani Ratnam after more than three decades. Tentatively titled KH 234, fans are awaiting the next official announcement about the movie.

AR Rahman is likely to come on board as the composer for the project. If it happens, the film will mark the musician's collaboration for a Kamal-starrer after more than two decades. The duo was recently seen together spending quality time in the US.

The Ulaganayagan has now come up with a small update, leaving fans enthralled. At an award event that happened in Dubai on Saturday, Lokesh Kanagaraj requested Mani to give an update on the movie. The maverick filmmaker said that only producer Kamal could say something about it.             

The Indian 2 actor star said that he and Mani have been working like they would do during Nayakan times. "Our motto is to come up with a good movie which makes us walk with pride. We are striving to achieve it," he said. Kamal then surprised everyone by saying that he had been growing his beard for his character in KH 234.

KH 233 is to arrive much before

The veteran actor-filmmaker's next release, Indian 2, is expected to hit the screens around August 2024, if we are to go by a few industry insiders. His movie with H Vinoth, KH 233 (tentative title), has gone on floors. A video was released by Raaj Kamal Films recently in which Kamal is seen practicing shooting for the movie.

The cast and crew for the project will be announced soon. Ghibran is likely to compose music for the film.
