Kamal Haasan is currently on a signing spree and has a massive line-up of exciting projects in his kitty. The veteran actor, who was on a long break from cinema, made a grand comeback to big screens in 2022 with the humongous success of the action thriller Vikram. Now, the multi-faceted talent is set to join hands with some of the finest filmmakers and technicians of the Indian film industry for his future projects.
For the uninitiated, Kamal Haasan announced his first onscreen collaboration with H Vinoth, the renowned filmmaker by mid-2023. The project, which is supposed to mark the National award-winner's 233rd outing in cinema, has been tentatively titled KH 233. However, the latest updates suggest that the highly anticipated project is shelved.
Kamal Haasan and H Vinoth’s KH 233 shelved?
KH 233, the highly anticipated project which is touted to be a political thriller, was supposed to go on floors by the beginning of 2024. However, there has been no update on the movie, after its highly publicized announcement. The leading man had also begun the prep for the film by the last quarter of 2023. But now, the grapevine suggests that KH 233 has been shelved. Even though there is no confirmation on the same so far, it has been speculated that the project was dropped due to the creative differences between Kamal Haasan and director H Vinoth.
Meanwhile, some other reports suggest that the duo has just put their ambitious project on the back burner. Reportedly, the filmmaker decided to put the project on hold, as leading man-producer Kamal Haasan is not satisfied with the way the script has turned out. However, we will have to wait for an official statement from the production banner Raaj Kamal Films International, to know more details.

Kamal Haasan’s upcoming films
The veteran actor, who is set to be active in his career, is planning to kickstart the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, by the end of January 2024. The highly anticipated project, which features a massive star cast, is expected to hit the screens by the first quarter of 2025. Later, he will team up with action choreographer duo Anbarivu for their directorial debut, which is tentatively named KH 237. He is also expected to reunite with Lokesh Kanagaraj once again, for the Vikram sequel and other LCU films.
