KGF-fame actor Garuda Ram to play lead in Malayalam film Sthambam 2

Actor Ramachandra Raju, popularly known as Garuda Ram, has reportedly roped in to play the lead role for the Malayalam film Sthambam 2. Helmed by Satheesh Paul. The movie is an action thriller, penned by Paul Brothers. 

If reports are to be believed, the shoot of the movie will kick start by the third week of this month. This will also be the debut lead role of Raju, in a Malayalam film. It is also reported that Tamil-Kannada actor Sandeep Sherawath will be appearing in a prominent role, alongside the Miss India runner-up Alia, and Baby Anna Elizabeth. The cinematography will be handled by K C Diwakar while the editing is to be done by Sreekar Prasad.

Ramachandra Raju was widely appreciated after his role in the epic crime-drama KGF. Garuda, the gritty villain he portrayed in the movie, made him popular and people started identifying him with his screen name from then. The Kannada movie was directed by Prasanth Neel. Raju had also previously portrayed major roles in movies like Sultan, Maha Samudram, Kodiyil Oruvan, and more.

Besides Sthambam 2, Raju will also appear in a supreme role in the Mohanlal-starrer Aaraattu. The much-anticipated movie is helmed by B Unnikrishnan, the script is penned by Udaykrishnan.
