K.G.F 2 ‘Adheera’ teaser to release on Sanjay Dutt’s Birthday

The makers of K.G.F 2 have announced that they will release a special character teaser of Adheera, played by Sanjay Dutt on the actor’s birthday. Sanjay Dutt will turn 62 on July 29 and the ‘Adheera’ teaser would shed new light on his character in the sequel. The trailer is set to release at 11:12 am on July 29.

After the death of the villain Garuda in K.G.F, ‘Adheera’ will be the next challenge waiting for Rocky, played by Yash. Adheera is the brother of Suryavardhan, Garuda’s father and founder of K.G.F. Adheera was presumed dead in an assassination plot by Suryavardhan but the first chapter ends with a shot of him preparing for his comeback as the rightful heir of the gold mine.

Although K.G.F 2’s shoot finished a few months ago in Hyderabad, the pandemic has delayed its theatrical release. The movie was initially scheduled to release in theatres on July 16. Though there are rumours about a theatrical release happening in September, the makers haven’t responded to the fans' inquiries yet.

Although the trailer was released, Sanjay Dutt was conspicuous by his absence in it. K.G.F. Chapter 2 will also mark Sanjay Dutt’s Kannada debut. The actor has taken up a heavy character despite his health issues and struggle with cancer. He has also committed to projects like Shamshera and Prithviraj along with Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar respectively.
