Sonu Nigam came on Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati once again last night. This time, he and Shreya Ghoshal came together for an episode called 'KBC par hoga sur aur gyaan ka milan'. During their meeting, Amitabh Bachchan had advice to give to Shreya Ghoshal, and it was related to Sonu Nigam. The host and singers only had praises for one another. Here's how their interaction went...
Amitabh Bachchan responded to Sonu Nigam's praises and spoke about the time when the singer came on the show. Sonu had come to KBC in 2021 for season 13. While stating that he was amazed by the way Sonu played back then, Big B also asked Shreya to look at Sonu for inspiration when she feels stuck. "Sonu bade guni aur gyaani hai," he said.
Sonu spoke about coming on the show with Shreya for the first time (it was her debut on KBC too). He spoke about his fans being everywhere and mentioned that he's stayed Big B's 'andh bhakt.' Sonu added that even Shreya loves him as an actor.
Sonu and Shreya opened KBC 16 by singing the Om Shanti Om song Main Agar Kahoon. The two joined the show to raise money for an organization that takes care of the elderly citizens abandoned by their families.
The singer duo won Rs. 25 lakhs. Their final question was:
Q. Which of these musicians participated in a recording session with Led Zeppelin when the band visited Mumbai in 1972?
They took the help of audience poll and got the correct answer. The answer was:
Ans. Ustad Sultan Khan
Shreya and Sonu donated all of the amount to the organization, and the makers added Rs. 5 lakhs to it, thus making it a total of Rs. 30 lakhs of donation.
Sonu Nigam first graced KBC 13 in 2021. Back then, he called himself a lucky singer from his generation, not because of the fame he earned but because he got to croon songs in Amitabh Bachchan's movies. He also sang alongside Big B in Sooryavansham. While Sonu hit the low notes, senior Bachchan sang the high notes.
