Arulnithi's upcoming rural Kazhuvethi Moorkkan's release date has been locked. The film, which stars Dushara Vijayan as the leading lady and is helmed by Sy Gowthama Raj, is all set to hit screens on May 26. The team also dropped a brand new poster in which Arulnithi is seen in an intense avatar.
Going by the teaser, it looks like Arulnithi plays Murugasamy (who is also known as Moorkkan) in the film, who can't keep his temper under control. He is also on the run from the police after he becomes an accused in a murder case. The plot also seems to revolve around local politics and how ordinary people are roped into the scheme of things.

The star cast includes Santhosh Prathap, Saya Devi, Munishkanth, Sarathlokith Sava, Rajasimman, Yaar kannan. While music is by D Imman, lyrics for the songs are by Yugabharathi, cinematography by Sridhar and editor is Nagooran. The film is produced by Ambethkumar and is being distributed by Red Giant Movies.
Arulnithi has done a number of village-based subjects and the actor is said to be at ease in the genre. In fact, he made his acting debut with Vamsam (2010), which was helmed by Pandiraj and had Sunainaa as the leading lady. The film was a massive hit at the box office.
In the meantime, Arulnithi's Thiruvin Kural has just dropped on Netflix. The film, directed by Harish Prabhu NS, has Aathmika as the leading lady. Arulnithi plays Thiru, a man with speech and hearing impairment. When his father's life is in danger, it becomes Thiru's responsibility to save his life.
The film also stars Subatra Robert, Monekha Siva, Ashraf, AR Jeeva, Harish Somasundaram, Mahendran, Mullaiarasi and others. Sam CS has scored the music, Sinto Poduthas has handled the cinematography and Ganesh Siva, the editing. The film has been bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
