Kay Kay Menon's web series Murshid opened to positive feedback from critics and audiences. The web show, directed by Shravan Tiwari, featured Kay Kay as a mafia don Murshid Pathan. Menon played the titular role in the series, which premiered on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium on August 30, 2024. Even after Murshid was released on streaming, the makers continued to keep the audiences intrigued with exciting promos. The latest promo highlights Murshid Pathan as the one who 'owns the streets of Mumbai'.

ZEE5 dropped a hard-hitting promo of Kay Kay Menon, in and as Murshid Pathan. The promo features Kay Kay's character Murshid pulling off intense action sequences. He exudes swag as a mafia don in the Shravan Tiwari directorial. While sharing the promo on Instagram, the streamer mentioned, "Akkha Mumbai jaanta hai ki uske naam se pehle, uska kaam uski pehchaan hai! (sic)." Take a look at the promo right below:
In Murshid, Kay Kay Menon shared screen space with Tanuj Virwani and Zakir Hussain. Tanuj played the role of Menon aka Murshid's adopted son and police officer Kumar Pratap Rana. On the other hand, Zakir Hussain essayed the character of a dreaded gangster Farid. The series featured a massive clash between Murshid and Farid.

Recently, in an interview with Filmibeat, Tanuj shared his experience of working with Kay Kay Menon in ZEE5's crime-thriller series Murshid.
The actor said, "One of the best things about working with an actor of Kay Kay sir's caliber is that, while you do prepare- you learn your lines, understand the subtext of the scenes- you don't have to over-prepare. If you're present in the moment, just listening to what he says and reacting authentically, that's half the job done."
