Kavin and Aparna Das's emotional drama Dada has completed 25 days since release and the film continues to run in theatres. The film's director Ganesh K Babu, who got all emotional with the overwhelming response to the film, said that what the audience was showing was pure love for the art. Taking to his social media handle, he wrote, "Thanks to everyone who made this possible We are overwhelmed by the tremendous support and love that is being showered upon us 25 day of nothing but pure love for the art is what you’re showing us! Thanks again to the audience, Press and Media #Dada #25days #thanksfam (sic)."
The plot revolves around a young man trying to bring up his son on his own and talks about how parenting is gender neutral. Music for the film is by Jen Martin, cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K and editing by Kathiresh Alagesh. It was only yesterday that the film's cinematographer Ezhil had dropped a bunch of BTS pictures and said that Dada changed his life.
Taking to his social media handle, he wrote to the film's director, "Dear GKB @ganeshkbabu man behind all the celebrations, happiness & success of #dada .I just felt great to witness all his conviction, dedication, and patience throughout this journey. The day he called me for #dada changed my life. I owe him for the trust he had in me.He's the reason for the appreciation, respect & everything I am getting right now. I never saw a person who works really hard for everyone’s future not only for himself. Glad that I’ve travelled with him & this journey continues for future projects!"
To which Ganesh Prabhu replied, "Love you so much Machi you deserve this and much more Thanks for being there always! (sic)." In the meantime, we hear that the digital rights of the film have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video and will have its OTT premiere very soon.
In the meantime, Ganesh K Prabhu has signed his next with Lyca Productions. The details of the project are awaited.
