The shooting of Kaushik Ganguly’s Asukh Bisukh started on June 12. However, the team faced a hurdle right in the beginning as veteran actor Anjan Dutt dropped out from the cast last moment. He refused to be part of the film right before the day of shooting and, as a result, Kaushik chipped in and he will now play the character that was supposed to be portrayed by Anjan.

According to the sources close to the unit, Anjan Dutt had problems with ‘terms and conditions’ with the producer, and after several negotiations, he opted out at around 12.50 am on the previous night of the shooting. “Where would I get a solid actor within just a few hours? I had no choice but to act in the film,” said Kaushik. There were reports that his son Ujaan will direct the scenes in which Kaushik will act. However, the director refuted the claim. “When I act in my film, no one else directs. Ujaan is a co-writer of Asukh Bishukh and he is in the directorial team. He is working with me as a creative director,” the director clarified.

The film will feature Ishaa Saha, Parambrata Chatterjee, Ankush, Anindya Chatterjee, and others. The film will mark Sayani Gupta’s debut in Tollywood. The script, casting, and all the other arrangements were ready when Anjan Dutt said no to the team.

Kaushik’s Ardhangini which features Churni Ganguly, Jaya Ahsan, Kaushik Sen, Ambarish Bhattacharya, and others in the lead was released on June 2 and is running in theatres.
