22-year-old Chander Prakash from Jammu and Kashmir become the first crorepati of Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. The young boy correctly answered the Rs 1 crore question on KBC 16. After winning a whopping Rs 1 crore, Chander attempted the Rs 7 crore question on the quiz show. Sony Entertainment Television shared a promo featuring Chander Prakash's big victory on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. The 22-year-old contestant also won a car along with a prize of Rs 1 crore. The Rs 7 crore question that Chander failed to answer on the Big B-hosted show was: "Who was the first recorded child born to English parents in North America in 1587?"
The options were: A) Virginia Dare B) Virginia Hall C) Virginia Coffey D) Virginia Sink. The correct answer to this question was option A) Virginia Dare. Since Chander didn't know the right answer and exhausted all lifelines, he decided to quit the game. After he quit, Amitabh Bachchan asked Chander to predict the answer and surprisingly he guessed it right. Had the 22-year-old taken the risk, he would've won Rs 7 crore.
On the show, Big B even motivated Chander to do well after he won Rs 50 lakh. "Your dedication has brought you here, and persistence, as they say, is sometimes the best quality. You’ve held onto it, and that’s why you stand at this significant juncture," he said.
