Amitabh Bachchan fans, rejoice! Recently, on the set of Kaun Banega Crorepati – a popular reality show – the megastar gave an epic reaction after discovering that a contestant is named Dharmendra. Additionally, the megastar was left in splits after knowing why the contestant was named after Big B’s friend.
Sony TV recently released a preview for the upcoming week's episode, where the show's host finds himself in a perplexing situation while conversing with a participant and his mother regarding the participant's name. Amitabh Bachchan playfully prodded Dharmendra, the contestant, by remarking that his fondness for Dharmendra was quite evident. Dharmendra, in response, shared an interesting tidbit – he was actually named after the actor Dharmendra by his father.
Adding to the conversation, Dharmendra's mother, present in the studio, disclosed that she is an admirer of Amitabh Bachchan and initially wished to name her son Amitabh. However, Dharmendra's father, with a touch of jest, opted for the name Dharmendra to poke fun at her, considering his own affection for the actor Dharmendra.
“Ab kya kar sakte hai, parivar ka mamla hai, jo hua so hua. Aap daantiye unhe (Now what can be done. It’s a family matter. Please scold him). Her comment left Amitabh Bachchan in splits as he applauded her honesty.
