Katrina Kaif rehearses with Vijay Sethupathi for Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas; shares photos from the sets

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen together on screen in director Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming movie titled Merry Christmas. Katrina has now taken to social media to share a sneak peek from the movie’s set, where she can be seen rehearsing with Vijay Sethupathi. 

“Work in progress #rehearsals #merrychristmas #sriramraghavan @actorvijaysethupathi,” Katrina wrote in an Instagram post, which she shared earlier today. She shared three photos from the set, and she can be seen in conversation with Sriram Raghavan in the first and talking to Vijay in the other two photos. 

The project was announced in December last year and Katrina had shared a photo with the director and Vijay on social media. She also wrote that she has always wanted to work with Sriram and that she was “super excited” to be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi. 

Reports suggest that the movie is a crime drama that will see events take place that turn the protagonists’ word upside down and that both Katrina and Vijay will play morally ambiguous characters, something we have seen in the filmmaker’s previous works such as Andhadhun. 

Katrina Kaif, who recently shared photos from her Maldives trip with husband Vicky Kaushal, was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. She will also appear in the horror comedy Phone Bhoot and Tiger 3, in which she will reprise her role from the previous movies co-starring Salman Khan. 

Vijay Sethupathi on the other hand, has been a very busy star and has already released four movies this year. He played the main antagonist in Vikram starring Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil, and the movie was a massive success. The actor is now awaiting the release of 19(1)(a), co-starring Nithya Menen. The movie, which is just his second Malayalam project, is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29.
