His last Malayalam project was Urumi, starring along with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Genelia D'Souza. He appeared as Chirakkal Kelu's friend Vavvali in this period film.

The entire Malayalam film industry is already buzzing about Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer. The anticipation of movie buffs is doubled by Rojin's previous film, #Home, which took home a National Film Award.

South Indian actress Anushka Shetty and Devika Sanjay are playing pivotal roles in this movie. Gokulam Gopalan has bankrolled this film under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.

In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, the director conveyed his confidence about the 3D fantasy film he is attempting to make, which is a rare accomplishment in Malayalam. The film is produced virtually using motion capture and computer-generated imagery.

"We want to present a Malayalam film produced by Malayalis to the world because we have talent in Kerala who has worked in these technologies previously," said Rojin.

Although pre-production began nearly two years ago, Rojin and P Ramanand, the film's scriptwriter, have been talking about Kathanar for more than six years. The director also remarked that the movie was actually scheduled to begin production even before his debutante film #Home.

According to Rojin, the first two installments of Kathanar—which is being considered for a potential franchise—are currently filming concurrently. It was not divided into two sections since the story could not be resolved. However, he mentioned that there could be even more chapters because the content is so extensive.
