Tamil actor Sandy has joined the sets of Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer today (July 5). The makers have confirmed the news through a social media post. The actor and choreographer, popularly known as Sandy Master, last appeared in Vijay’s Leo. He will make his Malayalam debut with this fantasy film.
Prabhu Deva had joined the sets of Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, the film's makers revealed on March 16. In the upcoming days, more information regarding the roles that these actors are playing in the Jayasurya-starrer is anticipated.

Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer has already created a lot of buzz within the Malayalam film industry. The success of director Rojin's previous National Film Award-winning film #Home, has doubled the anticipation of movie buffs.
Devika Sanjay and South Indian actress Anushka Shetty have important parts in this film. This movie was financed by Gokulam Gopalan under the auspices of Sree Gokulam Movies.
All about Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer
The director expressed his confidence about the 3D fantasy film he is trying to make in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, which is a rare accomplishment in Malayalam. Computer-generated imagery and motion capture are used to virtually produce the movie.
We have experts in Kerala who has worked in these technologies before, so we want to present a Malayalam film made by Malayalis to the world, said Rojin.
Pre-production on Kathanar started almost two years ago, but Rojin and scriptwriter P Ramanand have been discussing the movie for over six years. The film's director also mentioned that the film was supposed to start shooting even before he made his feature debut, #Home.
The first two parts of Kathanar, which might eventually become a franchise, are reportedly filming simultaneously, according to Rojin. Since there was no happy ending to the story, it was not divided into two sections. He did, however, note that because the content is so vast, there might be even more chapters.
