The post-production phase of Jayasurya's next movie, Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer, is underway. Six schedules later, on October 16, the producers have finally officially announced that the shoot would conclude. It has also been disclosed that the fantasy thriller's Rome schedule is merely tentative. Its release date is anticipated to be updated soon.
"Kathanar is not just a film—it’s the result of relentless hard work, belief in a dream, and the power of a team united by love of filmmaking," wrote director Rojin Thomas in an Instagram post.
In March, Tamil actor Prabhu Deva joined Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer. The actor waswas photographed meeting the director Rojin Thomas, actor Jayasurya, and producer Gokulam Gopalan. In the upcoming days, more information on Prabhu Deva's role in the Jayasurya film is anticipated. Devika Sanjay and South Indian actress Anushka Shetty have important parts in this film. This movie is financed by Gokulam Gopalan under the auspices of Sree Gokulam Movies.
Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer has already created a lot of talk inside the Malayalam cinema industry. The National feature Award-winning #Home, Rojin's previous feature, has doubled the anticipation of movie enthusiasts. Computer-generated imagery and motion capture are used to virtually make the movie.
Pre-production on Kathanar started over two years ago, although Rojin and scriptwriter P Ramanand have been discussing the movie for over six years. The filmmaker also mentioned in an OTTplay interview that the film was really supposed to start production even before his debut picture, #Home.
Jayasurya, who plays the lead role of an excommunicated priest in the movie, set aside more than a year specifically for Kathanar, changing physically for the role. A pair of installments of Kathanar, which might eventually become a franchise, are reportedly being shot simultaneously, according to Rojin. He did, however, note that because the material is so vast, there might be even more chapters.
