Actor-comedian Karunas has registered an official complaint with the Chennai Commissioner's office against several YouTube channels for spreading false information about him. The actor's complaint comes days after he registered a complaint against former AIADMK leader AV Raju for his derogatory comments on him and actor Trisha.
Karunas has named YouTubers like Thamizha Pandian and Bayilvan Ranganathan in his complaint. The actor asserted that they had disseminated false information and rumors about him, which various media outlets and publications had in turn disseminated.
Karunas files another complaint
On the grounds that false and malignant information is being spread about him, Karunas requested that legal action be taken against the parties. He also asked for the information put out to be taken from the concerned people and named YouTubers like Thamizha Pandian and Bayilvan Ranganathan in his complaint.
It is to be noted that not a while ago, Karunas’ name was in the news along with Trisha. Their names were taken by former AIADMK leader AV Raju, who made derogatory comments. Raju, who was recently ousted from the AIADMK party, convened a press conference and outrightly mentioned Trisha and Karunas in his serious allegations against some political leaders. Raju also made baseless comments and dragged Karunas’ name. He portrayed the Tamil film industry negatively. Karunas had filed a complaint in this regard. However, The South Indian Artistes Association had not come in support of the actors.
Trisha sues AV Raju
After the video of AV Raju claiming serious allegations went viral on social media, Trisha lashed out at the politician for spreading malicious information about her. She also filed a complaint and sued AV and shared the legal notice on her social media handles.
After Trisha Trisha received enormous and much-needed support from the film fraternity as well as on social media, Raju released a video claiming that his comments were misrepresented. He clarified that he simply shared information that he heard from another person and did not make any unwarranted remarks about Trisha.
