Matka is Varun Tej's latest film, set to hit screens on November 14, 2024, in a grand manner. Varun Tej is quite confident that the film will be a big hit and has been promoting it aggressively over the last few days. The pre-release event was held recently in Vizag, where director Karuna Kumar shared his thoughts about the film and Varun Tej's performance.

Karun Kumar praises Varun Tej to the skies

The popular director mentioned that Varun Tej suffers from OCD, but he made him do things that no actor has done in recent times. "There is a lot of physical mess that the lead actor goes through, but Varun did not complain about it one bit," says Karuna Kumar.

The director also added that there is a lengthy sequence that Varun Tej performs in the film which will blow your mind. "There is a scene in Matka where Varun delivers a lengthy dialogue and performs several activities. I shot it in one take, and you will be surprised to see Varun act in such a manner. This scene will become a talking point after the film's release," says Karuna Kumar.

Matka revolves around the gambling mafia of the late '80s, and Varun Tej will be seen in different age groups in the film. The trailer has captured the audience's imagination, and the makers are confident that the film will perform well at the box office. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead, with Nora Fatehi in a key role. Rajini Talluri produced the film on a budget of Rs 40 crore.

Matka has been made realistically and is said to be high on drama, according to director Karuna Kumar. "The events and narration in Matka will be solid. All the fans wanted to see Varun Tej in a very aggressive mass avatar and he will stun everyone with his mature performance," ends Karuna Kumar. Let's see if the film lives up to all the hype.
