Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Rooh Baba’ character from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 gets a comic book spin-off!

Kartik Aaryan’s fandom seems to growing with each passing day as the actor now makes his way into the Indian comic universe. Yes, Kartik Aaryan’s character of Rooh Baba from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will soon be given a snazzy comic book avatar and enthrall the audiences in a whole new manner.

Thanks to the actor’s immense popularity among kids and the overarching success of the character, Diamond Comics has decided to make Rooh Baba a bona fide comic character. Kartik took to social media to announce that this special move is for his little fans and also reveal that the title of the comic book would be Rooh Baba Ki Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan’s character of Ruhaan Randhawa in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 assumes the avatar of Rooh Baba, a quirky and gifted ‘baba’/saint who fakes the ability to communicate with spirits. In the film, we see Rooh Baba become a rage among the local public who seek all their ‘spirit-related’ solutions from him.

While one often comes across films based on popular comic book avatars, the other way round is unheard of, particularly in the Indian pop culture. Both Kartik Aaryan and the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 found tremendous success on the big screen with the character of Rooh Baba and it would be interesting to see how the comic book adaptation fares for them.

As far as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is concerned, the film was directed by Anees Bazmee with the combination of Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar, and Anjum Khetani producing it. Made at a budget of around Rs. 65 crores, the film managed to collect close to Rs. 270 crores at the box office to become one of the biggest hits of the year. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu, and others.

The 31-year-old Kartik Aaryan has grown in stature ever since and now boasts of not one but multiple exciting projects in the offing. Reportedly, he is currently shooting for Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada and will get started on the musical love story Satyaprem ki Katha which co-stars Kiara Adwani. He also has collaborations lined up with filmmakers Hansal Mehta and Kabir Khan.
