Kartik Aaryan's Aashiqui 3 to get a new face as the leading lady

Audiences have only showered love on the couples appearing in Aashiqui, whether it was the amazing chemistry between Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal in Aashiqui or the cute couple Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in Aashiqui 2. Aashiqui 3 will undoubtedly have to live up to high expectations. The producers are reportedly looking for a new leading lady while they have Kartik Aaryan on board as the leading guy. 

Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna was among the possibilities that were floated, especially after the two collaborated on a commercial, but producer Mukesh Bhatt has put an end to the speculation. 

According to a recent comment made to Pinkvilla by producer Mukesh Bhatt, the starring girl opposite Kartik Aaryan will be a debutante.The producer revealed that they are still looking for the female lead. He is conducting a thorough search right now. For Aashiqui 3, the makers want to introduce a fresh face. The film is now in the screenplay stage and is anticipated to begin production next year, according to the producer.

Earlier, in a statement, Mukesh Bhatt had revealed, “Evening of 16th Aug 1990, a day before Aashiqui’s release, Gulshanji and me were very nervous, the next day records were broken and history was created. Today with Bhushan, Pritam, Anurag, and the heart rob of the nation Kartik, I assure everyone that Aashiqui 3 will celebrate love like never before.”

However, the film's star, Kartik Aaryan, earlier expressed to Variety that he has always been a fan of the romantic series. He had added that he grew up watching the timeless original Aashiqui, and working on Aashiqui 3 is like living out a dream. For the opportunity to work with Bhushan Sir and Mukesh Sir, he feel both privileged and appreciative. Taling out the director of the film, Kartik has said, "I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Sir’s work and collaborating with him on this one is definitely shaped me in many ways.”

The musical love story, which will be directed by Anurag Basu, will have songs composed by Pritam.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik Aaryan has upcoming films including, Sameer Vidwans’ Satyaprem Ki Katha with Kiara Advani, Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada with Kriti Sanon and Hansal Mehta’s Captain India.
