Kartik Aaryan to romance THIS actress in Aashiqui 3?

Since it was revealed that Kartik Aaryan would be playing the protagonist, "Aashiqui 3" has been in the news constantly. Since then, there have been rumors about a lot of actresses who wil be playing opposite her, but none of them were ever confirmed by the makers. It now appears that the film's leading lady has been chosen by the producers. Akanksha Sharma, who has primarily worked in Kannada movies, would reportedly make her Bollywood debut as a lead opposite the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor. 

According to a report in ETimes, “Akanksha has had multiple meetings with the makers of the film and there is a possibility that things might get locked. Akansha is a fresh new face and makers of Aashiqui have always looked out for fresh pairings; be it Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal or Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor.”

Earlier, Mukesh Bhatt stated that the Aashiqui 3 heroine will be a fresh face in a Pinkvilla report. The franchise's producer said the movie's script is also being finished, and shooting is expected to start the following year.

Earlier, when discussing the movie with the media, Kartik had remarked, "The timeless classic 'Aashiqui' is something I grew up watching and working on 'Aashiqui 3' is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful to collaborate with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I've been a big fan of Anurag Basu's work, and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways."

For the uninitiated, Akanksha has primarily operated in the Kannada sector in the South. She has appeared with Tiger Shroff in the music videos for Casanova and Disco Dancer 2.0 in Hindi. She collaborated with Badshah on the popular song Jugnu.

On September 5, 2022, Kartik had announced the movie, which would have Anurag Basu as its director.
