The footage showed the two having a heated discussion, which was later broken up by laughs. An inquisitive fan at an event in Mumbai asked the actor about his chat with Alia, and the conversation took a hilarious turn, making the audience go wild.

"Remember that video of yours featuring Alia Bhatt that went viral not long ago?" During the Indian Express fan engagement session, a student asked Kartik a question. The video appears to show the two of them engaged in a conversation, prompting the fan to ask Kartik about it.

After initially laughing at the fan, Kartik responded, "This saree-wearing madam asked a very good question; she must have come prepared." The actor then asked her if she had any opinions and where they were going with this conversation.
The fan quickly questioned how she could have known. Kartik was taken aback, and the crowd was divided about what the fan was trying to convey.

The actor further responded that he was just talking to her normally. The fan joked, "Like what?" Kartik exclaimed, his laughter uncontrollable, that the lift was malfunctioning. His point was that she ought to have repaired the elevator before the event.
In a caustic manner, the doubting fan responded, "Oh, that was a good excuse; perfectly fine."
Kartik Aaryan clarified, his expression belying his surprise at her response, that he was genuinely inquiring about the release date of her new film, just as she was inquiring about his film. "Thank you, sir," was the fan's response, but it was clear that this didn't sway him either.
Fan's disappointment and Kartik Aaryan's regret
Kartik looked at her dissatisfaction with his responses and asked, "Which one would you prefer?" He was enquiring about Raha and Ranbir, among other things. He hated to let her down.
A fan said, "It's alright, sir." Kartik stated, his eyes betraying her disappointment that she had now made him worry excessively about this for the upcoming weeks. The actor regrets not responding differently.
