Kartik Aaryan has been receiving many encouraging responses for his latest Ram-Madhvani directed thriller Dhamaka. It is also notable that the movie was screened at the ongoing 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), held in Goa. Speaking to the audiences at the festival, the actor said he felt honoured to be there.
On Sunday, Aaryan presented the movie, which is the Hindi adaptation of the 2013 South Korean film The Terror of Love. The screening was done among the titles that Nteflix is bringing to the festival, as a part of the OTT giant’s partnership with the organisers.
The actor was all happy and excited to bring his movie to the prestigious movie gala. It was for the first time that his movie was being presented in IFFI. “It is shif for me as an actor and I hope you guys enjoy it as well”, said the actor as quoted by The Indian Express. He also added that he has been a fan of the movie’s director for so long, and it is amazing to receive appreciation from all over.
Further talking about the movie, Aaryan hailed it as an ‘edge-of-the-seat-thriller’, and explained that it was set in one room with a 360 degree system, where the team had eight to twelve cameras. The movie features him as Arjun Pathak, an ex-TV news anchor.
Later during the interaction with the media, the 30-year-old actor talked about feeling validated for the first time, as he was attempting different genres. He was all euphoric when he said it will be ‘Kartik 2.0’ from here. He also hinted that there are more surprises coming on the way, and he has selected some exciting projects.
