Kartik Aaryan delivered one of the most successful films in 2024 with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The actor joined the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise with its second installment. Both new installments of the horror comedy franchise worked well at the box office. However, the actor feels there are both pros and cons of doing franchise films. In an interview with Man's World India, Kartik also revealed why Bhool Bhulaiyaa succeeded.

In his interview, Kartik Aaryan shared the biggest pro of doing such movies is that the connection that audiences already have with the franchise. In his opinion, this factor adds to the excitement. Aaryan believes that characters become iconic and develop their fanbase and people look forward to their return.

Talking about the challenges, Kartik revealed, "The biggest challenge is the pressure to meet or exceed those expectations, but I thrive on that challenge." Sharing why Bhool Bhulaiyaa was successful, he added, "I believe franchises like Bhool Bhulaiyaa succeeded by staying true to its essence while introducing fresh elements. The blend of horror, comedy, and nostalgia appealed to both longtime fans and new audiences."
Kartik Aaryan on dealing with failures
On being asked how he deals with failures, Kartik said one has to learn and move on. He thinks that's one motto to deal with the things that aren't in his control.
"As an actor, I make sure I give my best to the script and the part I have got, the rest is all in the hands of the audience, and no one can control that outcome as for criticism, as long as it is constructive, I will always take it and learn from it, but things that don’t help do not need attention," added Kartik.
