Reports surfaced a few days ago that Kartik Aaryan and Sameer Vidwans are seeking a producer for their upcoming love story film. After getting an unfortunate response from Sajid Nadiadwala, none other than Karan Johar has decided to back the project. The filmmaker has officially announced the project on his social media pages, revealing the film's title, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The announcement video features a voiceover by Kartik, and this is the film that Dharma Productions dropped as a hint related to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

The video features the actor discussing his role as a mama's boy and his dedication to ensuring the success of his fourth love story. Thus, the film drops a major hint of being a globetrotting flick with the music of the "Saat Samundar Paar" song playing in the backdrop.
While sharing the video, Johar wrote that their most romantic Christmas present ever is on its way to the fans, wrapped in all its enchantment. On the other hand, Kartik revealed his character name as Ray and his lover's as Rumi. He further revealed that he had sworn a vow to his mother, saying, "This Mama's boy always keeps his promises!" The actor also shared his excitement about returning to his favourite romantic comedy genre.

Kartik Aaryan's bold new venture with Dharma Productions
According to reports in Bollywood Hungama, a source told them that Kartik recently broached the notion with Karan Johar, who was enamoured with the idea and offered to finance the film. The film has an adventurous and action-packed tone and is one of the most ambitious love stories of current times. The entire crew is ecstatic to finally show the film to the public in 2026 after working tirelessly on an ambitious project that cost Rs. 150 crores. The insider went on to say that after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, this might be Kartik's next Bollywood project.
After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik was hesitant to sign a feature film, but he is completely committed to this script. The film is a joint venture between Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures.
Collaboration sparked on the set of Satyaprem Ki Katha
Meanwhile, according to Mid Day, Kartik was so enamoured with Sameer on the set of Satyaprem Ki Katha that he asked Sameer to find him another romantic drama to star in. The filmmaker recently presented the actor with a screenplay, which instantly captivated him.
