Karthi's crazy throwback picture with Santhanam wins hearts for THIS reason

Actor Karthi recently shared a picture from the sets of his film, All in All Azhagu Raja, which has taken the internet by storm. In the picture, he is seen posing with Santhanam, who is dressed as the character in the film, Kareena Chopra. Sharing the picture, Karthi wrote, "Vaadi en Kareena Chopra (sic)." To which Santhanam replies, "Vandutten Vandiyadevan Mama (sic)."

To those who do not know the deets, Santhanam disguises himself as a female model for a jewellery ad as he and Karthi are in desperate need for money. Santhanam names himself Kareena Chopra, a combination of the names of the leading Bollywood stars, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

The lines, "Sokka Thangam Sokka Thangam Jewellery, Sokka Vekkum Sokka Vekkum Jewellery '' are a massive hit. But once he turns Kareena Chopra, he has a tough time evading the owner of the jewellery brand, who is smitten by her.

All in All Azhaguraja (2013) is a romantic comedy directed by M Rajesh and stars Karthi in dual roles and Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady. Though the film opened to negative reviews, the comedy track was a massive hit.

Karthi sharing this picture out of the blue has stirred rumours of the duo coming together for a film. However, there has been no information.

It is to be noted that Karthi and Santhanam, have worked in a number of films, which include All in All Alaguraja, Alex Pandian, Saguni and Siruthai.

In the meantime, we hear that the actor has wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming action comedy Japan. Only a few patchwork shots remain to be completed. Japan is directed by Raju Murugan, and the star cast comprises Karthi, Sunil, Anu Emmanuel, Ashna Sudheer to name a few. The film is gearing up to hit screens for Diwali.
