Karthik Subbaraj recently lashed out at a journalist who commented on Jigarthanda Double X's leading lady Nimisha Sajayan looks. The incident took place during the success meet of the film, which was held in Chennai recently. Also present at the occasion was the film's lead actors Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah.

Karthik Subbaraj's savage reply to a journalist
During the success meet, one of the reporters asked Karthik Subbaraj how he managed to extract work out of Nimisha Sajayan opposite the scenes with Raghava Lawrence. He added that the actress did a fantastic job in her debut Tamil film, Chithha, despite being 'not so beautiful'.

While responding to the question, Karthik Subbaraj, asked the reporter, how Nimisha is not beautiful. He then said, "Maybe it's your mindset. You can't say someone is not beautiful. That's a very wrong perception." His savage reply has won many hearts.

Support pours in for Nimisha Sajayan
Support is pouring in for Nimisha Sajayan from all quarters. Actress Manjima Mohan reacted to the incident and wrote, "I can't believe someone made a remark like that! Well said @karthiksubbaraj (sic)."

One of the Twitter users even commented, "Whoever calls Nimisha Sajayan not beautiful should go get eye surgery done (sic)."

Jigarthanda Double X celebrates film's success in style
Meanwhile, Jigarthanda Double X has emerged as the clear Pongal winner as Karthi's Japan opened to negative reviews. Theatres are now providing additional screens to the film and Jigarthanda Double X is running to packed houses.

The plot of Jigarthanda Double X is set in 1975 and revolves around a film, which stars Tamil cinema's first dark-complexioned hero. The film inside the film is helmed by Ray Dasan (SJ Suryah) and has Pandiyan (Raghava Lawrence) in the lead. The film is said to be a spiritual successor to Jigarthdanda (2014).
