Murder Mubarak, a Netflix original film, will star Karisma Kapoor, who had her last film role in 2012's Dangerous Ishhq. Homi Adajania directs the film, starring Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, and others. During a recent interview, Karisma shared her perspective on working in the '90s.
Karisma stated in an interview with Film Companion that at that time, they just worked. Nothing like that occurred; there was zero calculation. They were completely impulsive, driven only by their intense emotions. That was really how they functioned. "Oh, if I do this song or this film, this will happen" was never a deliberate move. No PR staff, stylists, or anybody else was around to give them advice or tell them what to do. They existed only on set, bringing films to life.
When asked when Karisma felt like things were finally starting to fall into place for her, she explained that, well, to be honest, she thinks things kind of changed when Hero No. 1 happened. Films like Raja Hindustani and Dil To Pagal Hai followed, as one would expect. From her perspective as Hero No. 1, that's purely an individual thing.
Karisma Kapoor, in addition to Murder Mubarak, is also a part of ZEE5's Brown.
While talking about her second outing in an OTT series, she revealed that this isn't their typical heroine. Playing it on screen was a whole new and exciting experience. This woman has been through a lot of different emotions, and she's quite honest and genuine about it. Her character has endured a great deal; she is physically exhausted. Although it is primarily a criminal drama, the story is also about her personal growth and her journey. That, she believes, is why she is so interested in it.
Murder Mubarak is all set to premiere on Netflix on March 15, 2024.
