Kareena Kapoor Khan to be replaced by THIS ACTRESS in the sequel of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan’? says reports

The year was 2015 when the Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ hit the theatres. What really upped the curiosity about the film was its extremely unique title, besides the storyline. But, once the film was released, the word of mouth for the film became so strong that, there was absolutely nothing that could stop this film from becoming one of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood. The film’s starcast complemented the film’s script and vice versa. The simple storyline about an innocent ‘Hanuman-worshipper’ Indian and his ‘never-say-never’ attitude and fighting all odds to help a mute Pakistani lost girl (splendid performance by Harshali Malhotra) to reach back to her parents in her country touched the chord of every cinegoer.

Just as when many started wishing for the film’s sequel, there came a news from Salman Khan last year, which was music to many ears. The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star not just announced that the film will be getting its sequel, but also revealed the film’s title as ‘Pawan Putra’. Needless to say that, many felt that the film’s sequel will; be having the same starcast as the original, viz., Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Harshali Malhotra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui forming the principle characters.

But, if the news report in Bollywood Hungama is anything to go by, then, the fans of the film will be in for a huge shock. The said news report stated that ‘Pawan Putra’, which happens to be the sequel of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, will be seeing Pooja Hegde and not Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role! The said news report also stated that while the film will see Pooja Hegde replacing Kareena Kapoor Khan, but, whether Pooja will be playing the same character that Kareena played in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is not known yet.

Attempts to establish contacts with ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s director Kabir Khan to confirm the news yielded no results. Meanwhile, you can watch this space for developments. On the other hand, Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde can be seen together in the most awaited film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Vinali Bhatnagar and Aasif Sheikh amongst others. This Farhad Samji directed film has been scheduled for a theatrical release on April 21.
