Kareena Kapoor Khan ignoring Shahid Kapoor at an event reignites discussion about their strained relationship

The rift between actor Shahid Kapoor and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan seems to be never-ending, even after many years of their breakup. At an event recently, Kareena was seen ignoring the actor while gracing the red carpet effortlessly, igniting discussion about their strained relationship online.

Kareena ignored Shahid

In a video posted online from an event, Shahid was seen gracing the red carpet when moments later Kareena walked past him, without acknowledging his presence. This incident was quickly noticed by the fans, and they pointed out the awkwardness in the scene.

Commenting on the post, one user wrote, “It was soo Akwaaaard,” while another wrote, They didn’t even say hi to each other.”

In the video, Shahid looked dapper in a formal black ensemble while Kareena flaunted her exquisite gold lehenga, styled with an emerald necklace.

Kareena Kapoor had accepted her relationship with Shahid Kapoor on Koffee With Karan Season 2 by saying, “He didn’t even bother; I was the one who chased him for two months. Yeah, I was the one who was taking initiatives and sending messages, and then, of course, we met, and it all started.”

Kareena and Shahid were reported to be dating each other during the shoot of Imtiaz Ali’s superhit film Jab We Met. The couple was then alleged to have broken up after the release of the film.

After the breakup, Shahid had said in an interview with Simi Garewal that 4.5 years was a very long time. Adding to this, the actor said that there were so many more options, he does not know and remember what he was thinking back then.

After Jab We Met, Kareena was shooting for her film Tashan where she met Saif Ali Khan, with whom she has now got married. Speaking about the film, Kareena had told Film Companion that it was Shahid who convinced her to do Tashan as the girl’s part was very interesting. Kareena had said in the same interview, “In fact, it was Shahid who actually said that I should hear this script of this film. He was like, ‘It’s amazing, the girl’s part is amazing and you should do it.’ He kind of actually got this entire project together and both of us ended up doing this film.”
