Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut's feud has been going on for many years. However, at times, both artists take people by surprise with their actions, and something similar happened at the recently concluded Express Adda. When asked in a flurry of questions by the Indian Express, the filmmaker quipped that he is excited to watch Emergency, the Kangana Ranaut-directed film.

During an interaction, Karan was asked if he would consider directing a movie on politics. He replied that Emergency is being made, and he is excited to watch it. In the film, Kangana plays the role of the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi.

For the uninitiated, the historic battle between Karan and Kangana began on his talk show, Koffee With Karan. But after a point in time, the war became one-sided with Kangana's constant rants on her social media pages.

Karan Johar on box office failures of recent films

Moreover, the filmmaker was asked about the failures of the recently released films, namely Adipurush, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Samrat Prithviraj, and Laal Singh Chaddha. Karan revealed that he has not seen any of the other films, but talking about the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer, he said that he liked that film and he doesn't know what might have gone wrong, as he cried when it was over.

Karan Johar calls Bollywood "dishonest"

Surprisingly, Karan also said that many Bollywood stars are dishonest and that their opinions on films are often exaggerated. He declared that they were all dishonest. All of them are just big, gigantic liars, and he conceded that there are times when the business fudges up box office data.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan is currently riding high on the success of his latest blockbuster, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in titular roles, with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in supporting roles.
