Karan Johar reveals Ranbir Kapoor has no manager or PR: He has his own dates

In a time when celebrities are managed by their managers and PRs, there is one Bollywood actor who is his own manager and his own PR. The actor is Ranbir Kapoor. Karan Johar has revealed in a recent interview that Ranbir knows his own schedules and fixes his own dates for shoots, PR meets and holidays.

What Karan said

During his interview with Mid-Day, Karan spilled that Ranbir has no manager to keep a track of his schedule and the actor does it on his own accord. “He does one film at a time, he handles his own dates. There is no PR, there is no manager, there is nobody around him. He is on his own. You ask him for dates, he opens his phone, he has all his own dates, he knows exactly which plans he's doing, he knows his schedule, he knows his days off, he knows his holidays,” the filmmaker shared.

Karan describes Ranbir as the guy who studies hard but pretends to not know anything. The filmmaker claimed that Ranbir is the ‘most patient human being’ and cited the example of how one time the actor waited for 14 hours on set without uttering a word.

Karan and Ranbir’s latest projects

Karan had helmed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which starred Ranbir in the lead role with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. More recently, they had collaborated for Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The movie was bankrolled by Karan’s Dharma Productions.

Last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir will now feature in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The movie, scheduled to release in December, also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles. Karan Johar, on the other hand, had recently directed Ranbir’s wife Alia Bhatt in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. The film starred Ranveer Singh as the male lead and featured Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
