The British Parliament recognised Karan Johar for his significant contributions to the entertainment sector around the world and bestowed upon him an award. He has been working in the Indian film industry for the past 25 years, and in honour of this momentous milestone, he has revealed the teaser for the next film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
A number of members of Parliament, including Lord Desai, Baroness Uddin, and Rt Hon Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi MP, as well as pioneers, influential people, and community leaders from the British Asian community attended the event, which Baroness Verma of Leicester hosted.
Karan then posted the image to his Instagram account, in which it can be seen that he is posing with the certificate after he has been awarded it. In the accompanying caption, he wrote that today has been such a special day! The renowned Baroness Verma of Leicester bestowed this accolade upon him at the British House of Parliament in London, which he counts as a great blessing and for which he is really grateful. They celebrated his 25th year working in the film industry as a filmmaker, and he also debuted the teaser for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Karan went on to say that today is one of those days when he has to pinch himself to remind himself that wishes can become reality. On this trip, he expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported him and given him unconditional love. The filmmaker also assures his followers that there is more to come.
Karan has a special connection to the United Kingdom as a result of the fact that he has shot a number of his films there. Some of these films are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Upon their initial release in theatres, his blockbusters Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan shattered previous records to become the highest-grossing Indian films ever at the Box Office in the UK.
Karan, who made his directorial debut with the smash hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998, will be in charge of the July 28, 2023, release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kaahani.
Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt all play prominent roles in the family-centered drama.
