It has been a long time since rumors began circulating about Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, making his acting debut. While speculation has been rife, concrete details have been scarce. Ibrahim previously worked as an Assistant Director on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. This association led many to believe that he would be launched by Dharma Productions—and now, that has been confirmed. Johar recently announced Ibrahim’s debut on social media, sharing an exciting update.

Karan Johar Launches Ibrahim Ali Khan

Yesterday, Karan Johar posted an interactive video teasing major announcements about new additions to the Dharma family. As a production house known for launching numerous actors, filmmakers, and artists who have made their mark in cinema, the first name revealed was Ibrahim Ali Khan. Johar shared a heartfelt post to mark the occasion.

He wrote, “I met Amrita, or Dingy, as her loved ones call her, when I was just 12 years old. She did a film for @dharmamovies with my father called Duniya, and I vividly remember her grace, energy, and command over the camera. But what I remember most is the warmest Chinese dinner with her and her hairstylist after our first meeting, followed by a James Bond movie! She treated me like her own from the moment we met, and that was the power of her grace—something that lives on through her children as well.”

Karan continued, “With Saif, I first met him in Anand Mahendru’s office—young, suave, charming, and effortless. Very much like the first time I met Ibrahim. A strong friendship has continued from our generation to, luckily, our kids! I have known this family for 40 years and worked with them in different capacities—Duniya and 2 States with Amrita, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kurbaan with Saif, and of course, Simmba with Sara, followed by many more to come! This family is driven by films—it’s in their blood, their genes, and their passion. And now, we welcome a new wave of talent. Get ready, because @iakpataudi is about to make his way into your hearts and, soon, onto your screens!”

Along with this announcement, Karan Johar shared a series of pictures of Ibrahim Ali Khan, highlighting his striking resemblance to his father, Saif Ali Khan. However, Johar did not reveal details about Ibrahim’s debut project, so fans will have to wait a little longer for more information.
