Karan Deol-Disha Acharya’s wedding: Anik Dutta says Sunny Deol, Dharmendra, and other family members are warm, and welcoming

A big fat Indian wedding celebration is taking place in Mumbai where Karan Deol – son of Sunny Deol, and Disha Acharya – great-granddaughter of Bimal Roy, will tie the knot. The pre-wedding celebrations have started and from June 16 onwards the wedding rituals, including sangeet, will take place. 

Filmmaker Anik Dutta, who is Disha’s maternal uncle, has been enjoying the ceremonies in Mumbai. “Many pre-wedding celebrations are happening. The main events will take place between June 16 and 19,” we will be back after that. 

Anik and the bride’s family met Deols. “They are simple, polite, and humble. All of them – from Dharmendraji to Sunny, Bobby (Deol), and everyone. They did not show an iota of stardom. They are welcoming and cordial.” said the director.     

Anik took to social media to post a series of photos of the wedding. Along with the photos, he wrote, “We were welcomed in by the Deol clan with warm hospitality, exotic cocktails, mouthwatering snacks, and some great food.” Anik, along with his cousins, including Raakh-director Aditya Bhattacharya (also the son of Basu Bhattacharya), are seen enjoying themselves to the fullest. In another set of videos, Sunny Deol is seen dancing bhangra with the beats. In another video, Bobby stands next to him. “I had a chat with Bobby’s wife. They are full of humility,” Anik said. 

Karan and Disha’s Sangeet and reception are expected to be a starry affair. “The bride’s mother, my sister Chimoo, will have a long guest list. She is an impresario and has a lot of friends in the industry,” Anik said.
