Kar Kache Moner Kotha Koi cast Manali Dey, Basabdatta Chatterjee, Sneha Chatterjee and others appear on Didi Number One

On June 30, Hoichoi dropped the second season of Gora, in which Manali Dey plays a pivotal character. Now, her new serial, Kar Kache Moner Kotha Koi, began its journey on July 3. 

This new serial revolves around the stories of five women, with Manali in the lead role. Other important characters include Indubala Bhaater Hotel-fame Sneha Chatterjee, Asha Jawar Maajhe-actress Basabdatta Chatterjee, Srijoni Mitra, and Kuasha Vishwas. Manali will be seen in the character of Shimul in the serial. 

The narrative of the story is gripping and holds the audience’s attention. Shimul has no one to share her thoughts with apart from her mother-in-law and husband. They are too busy to hear her out. Her neighbours become her companions. In this serial’s promotional event at Didi Number One, Shimul and her companions took the stage. The actress shared her fears there.

While talking about their companionship on set, the actresses elaborated on how they spend time. In real life, two of the actresses, Sneha and Basabdatta, are new mothers. So, discussions about their children’s issues frequently arise in the makeup room. On Rachna Banerjee’s show, Sneha said, “Basabdatta and I talk about our children. I ask Basabdatta about her daughter’s sleep. Doesn’t she sleep? What a hassle for you!” Basabdatta immediately replies, “And all this makes Manali very scared.” Manali admitted, “I look at them and ask them to stop!” 

Sneha became a mother in 2021. After completing her maternity leave, she returned to work as an actress. On the other hand, in 2022, Basabdatta became the mother of a daughter. She has returned to work through this series, without taking too many days off. In 2020, Manali married director Abhimanyu Mukherjee. They will complete three years of marriage in a few days. However, regarding having children, Manali had previously quipped on the stage of Didi Number One, “I didn’t even get a chance to go to my honeymoon. How am I supposed to do the family planning?”
