Kapil Sharma takes first flight with Sunil Grover after reuniting for The Great Indian Kapil Show; his hilarious take on the infamous fight

Kapil Sharma has taken his first flight with Sunil Grover. The two recently reunited after years. They are seen together in The Great Indian Kapil Show, which marks Sunil’s reunion with Kapil. The duo, interestingly, separated after their fight on a flight, when they were still working on The Kapil Sharma Show. Years later, they have taken another flight, right after their reunion. In doing so, Kapil gave a hilarious take on the incident.

Kapil’s caption with the photo

Kapil, wearing a yellow zipper with black pants, shared the photo with Sunil, who was seen in a white t-shirt with ripped denims and off-white jacket. Taking a hilarious dig at their fight, Kapil captioned the photo, “Don’t worry guys, it’s a small flight.” The comedian added the plane and champagne glass emoticons with the post.

The fight

Back when they were still working on The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil and Sunil were travelling on a plane when Kapil lost his calm and got violent with Sunil (he hit Sunil with his shoe and slapped him along with threats to ruin their career, when the comedian only wanted to calm a drunk and enraged Kapil down). That was the time they had a fallout, with Sunil never reuniting with Kapil for the particular show, no matter its popularity (The Kapil Sharma Show was even backed by Salman Khan). Back then, Kapil and Sunil along with the whole team were on a 12-hour flight from Melbourne-Delhi-Mumbai.

The reunion

Since the fight in 2017, Sunil and Kapil never got in the same room together. Sunil, who was as popular as Kapil on the show (in the roles of Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati), never returned to The Kapil Sharma Show. The Television show continued to grow but Sunil stayed away from it. They reunited for the Netflix show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, which started streaming in 2024.
