Kanyakumari schedule of Suriya's film with Bala wrapped up

The shoot for the first schedule of Suriya's film with director Bala has been wrapped up. The film, which kickstarted in Kanyakumari has successfully completed its 34-day schedule and the next schedule is all set to begin in Goa in June. The film's production house shared the news on its social media page, "After the successful completion of the 1st schedule of 34 days in Kanyakumari, #Suriya41 is ready for the next stage! The next schedule of 15 days is all set to start in Goa in June after extensive set work! @Suriya_offl #Jyotika #DirBala @rajsekarpandian (sic)."

Suriya and Bala are coming together after a long hiatus of over a decade. Suriya got his big break with Bala's directorial venture Nanda and Suriya has always considered the director as his mentor. “Been waiting for #DirBala na my mentor to say Action!!! …After 18 years, it’s happiness today…! This moment… we need all your wishes! #Suriya41 (sic).” It is said that Suriya is playing a fisherman in the film.

The shoot for the Kanyakumari portions had begun last month and the team had erected some houses in the coastal hamlet. The production house and Suriya, we hear, decided to not demolish the houses and instead, give them away for free to the poor fishermen residing in the locality. This gesture had won the team a lot of appreciation from the public.

Music for the film is being composed by GV Prakash and Balasubramaniem Kathiresan is handling the cinematography. Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju have been roped in as the leading ladies. The team is also expected to shoot in Madurai after the Goa schedule.

Suriya had also worked with director Bala in Pithamagan along with Vikram, Sangeetha and Laila. He also did a cameo appearance in the comedy drama Avan Ivan that had Vishal and Arya playing the leads.
