The acclaimed project, which marked the directorial debut of cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, has equally impressed both the Malayalam audiences and the non-Malayali viewers equally, with its excellent making and performances.

The veteran actor, who has been receiving immense love from the audiences across the globe for his stellar performance in Kannur Squad, took to his official social media handles and penned a heartfelt note. Mammootty also expressed his happiness over the movie receiving great reviews from the viewers after its OTT release, in the post.
“For those who missed watching it in theatres, #KannurSquad is now streaming on @DisneyPlusHSMal. Happily reading all your reviews so far. Overwhelmed,” the megastar captioned his post. Along with the special note, Mammootty also dropped a still from the crime drama on his social media post, which is now winning the internet.
Mammootty’s role in Kannur Squad
For the uninitiated, Mammootty played the role of ASI George Martin, who leads an investigation team named ‘Kannur Squad’ in the movie, which is based on real-life incidents. The veteran actor, who has played a large variety of cop roles in his 5-decades-long illustrious acting career, impressed audiences and critics alike with his excellent performance as an aging police officer who heads an investigation team.

The crime drama, which marked the directorial debut of renowned cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, which is jointly penned by actor Rony David Raj and Muhammed Shafi. Along with Mammootty, the project features a stellar star cast including Vijayaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Rony David Raj, Azees Nedumangad, Shabareesh Varma, Kishore, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Deepak Parambol, and others in the supporting roles.
