Kanjoos Makhichoos trailer: Kunal Kemmu and Shweta Tripathi starrer talks about a huge tragedy amid comedy

The trailer for Kanjoos Makhichoos starring Kunal Kemmu and Shweta Tripathi is finally out. Directed by Vipul Mehta, the upcoming comedy-drama movie talks about a man who finds himself in a big fight with a politician due to a huge amount of compensation that he's promised but doesn't get.

The latest trailer begins by showcasing how mingy Kunal is as a middle-class man as he uses one incense stick to worship for a month and also uses a toothpaste until its last drop. Moving on, Shweta enters the montage as his wife, who complains to him for not even gifting her an apple (iPhone). 

Post that his mother complains about why he has bought only 10 okras, to which he replies that it's sufficient for 5 people as two goes for everyone. The trailer showcases how each and every family member is disturbed due to this miser person, while later they discover that he has been saving up for his parents so that he can take them on a pilgrimage tour.

However, his parents die during their journey in a huge natural calamity. Moving on, he gets to know that the family of the deceased will get 7 lacks for each member who has died. But, due to political corruption, he doesn't get the full amount like a lot of people and decides to take action against it.

The makers released the trailer with an interesting caption that reads, "Jamnaprasad, a miser, successfully sends his parents on a pilgrimage, fulfilling his father's wish. But what happens when family members lose contact due to a natural calamity? Premieres 24th March 2023. (sic)."

Shweta also shared the trailer with her fans on her official Instagram handle with special caption that reads, "Pandey parivaar ke karnamo par hasne ke liye ho jaiye taiyaar! Hain thode se kanjoos lekin entertainment denge full on! #KanjoosMakhichoos premieres 24th March on #ZEE5 (sic)."

The Vipul Mehta directorial also features Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, and Rajeev Gupta in important roles.

Kanjoos Makhichoos is all set to have a direct-to-OTT release on March 24 on ZEE5.
