Directed by Siva, Kanguva stars Hindi actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, along with Yogi Babu and Natarajan Subramaniam. Bobby Deol will be playing the role of the powerful Udhiran, the antagonist in the Suriya-starrer. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for the film, with Vetri handling the cinematography. Billed as a pan-Indian film, Kanguva is expected to be released in multiple languages, including in Tamil and Hindi. The film will mark Suriya’s first collaboration with Siva.
As seen from the posters, Suriya is all set to play dual roles in the film which will unfold in two different timelines. One will feature a modern avatar, while the other will see Suriya essaying a warlord in prehistoric times.
Due to the delay in the extensive post-production works, the film might be released in late 2024, in conventional 2D, 3D and IMAX formats. Many reports suggest that the film might get a grand release date after the upcoming general elections.
