Kanguva: Plot and duration of the Suriya-Siva project revealed

Suriya is all set to make a comeback to big screens soon, with the upcoming period fantasy film, Kanguva. The movie, which marks the National Award-winning actor’s first collaboration with director Siva, is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects of Tamil cinema. From the trailer released a few weeks back, it is evident that the movie will be a complete visual extravaganza. Now, a screengrab, which reveals the Kanguva plot and duration of the film, is doing rounds on social media.

Kanguva plot and duration revealed

A screengrab of a popular movie booking app, which reveals the plot of Kanguva, is now doing rounds on social media. According to the platform, the Suriya starrer is an 'Epic Saga' of  Kanguva where ancient valour meets modern-day courage. The synopsis suggests that the Siva directorial revolves around a tribal warrior's struggle to save his people a millennium ago, and how it is mysteriously linked to a shadow cop's quest in the present.

“This gripping emotional tale of heroism across time promises heart-pounding action and a mystery that defies the ages,” further reads the post. The screengrab, now winning the internet, also reveals that the period fantasy film has a total runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes. However, the runtime of Kanguva will be finalised only after the movie clears the censor formalities. In that case, an official confirmation of Kanguva’s duration will be out in a few days.

Kanguva: cast and crew

Suriya is appearing in a double role in the film, as tribal leader Kanguva and an unnamed modern-day shadow cop, in the Siva directorial. Bobby Deol, the senior Bollywood actor is set to play the lead antagonist Udhiran in the film. Disha Patani is making her Tamil cinema debut with Kanguva, as the female lead. However, the makers surprisingly have not revealed the popular actress’ look in the film, yet.

Kanguva features a massive star cast including Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Jagapati Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Anandaraj, Suresh Chandra Menon, Deepa Venkat, G Marimuthu, KS Ravikumar, Ravi Raghavendra, Karunas, Prem Kumar, and others in supporting roles. Devi Sri Prasad composes the song and original score. Vetri Palanisamy and Nishadh Yusuf handle the cinematography and editing, respectively.
