Kangana Ranaut is all set for the release of her upcoming movie, Emergency. After a lot of delay, the film will finally see the light of the day on January 17 in theatres. Directed by Kangana, the film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Milind Soman in key roles. The film was supposed to be released in 2024 but due to multiple controversies and no certification from CBFC, it couldn't come out. Now, ahead of the big release, Kangana said in an interview that she won't make any political movie again. Read on...

Kangana Ranaut will not make a political movie anymore

While speaking to News18 Showsha, the actress revealed the reason behind making such a decision. She said, "I’m never making a political film again. I’m not very motivated. It’s so difficult to make one. I now understand why not many people do it, especially on real-life characters. Having said that, I think Anupam (Kher) ji was amazing in The Accidental Prime Minister as Manmohan Singh. It’s one of his best performances. But if you ask me, I’m never doing it again."

Kangana further shared that despite the challenges, she never lost her cool on sets. She added, "If you are the producer, who would you lose your cool on? (laughs) As a director, one can fight with the producer but if you’re doubling up as both, who can you fight with? I wanted to say out loud that I need more money and I’m not happy. Par main kahaan jaake roti? Kisko kya bolti?"

Kangana Ranaut claims she was struggling to make Emergency

During the interview, Kangana went on to claim that she was struggling to make Emergency. From shooting during the pandemic to facing Assam floods, she said that she also had other issues she was dealing with. Kangana said, "I was struggling to make this film. Mujhe besahara feel hota tha. I used to feel frustrated. But who I do show that frustration to? There was no one."

Meanwhile, Emergency will also feature the late actor Satish Kaushik and Mahima Chaudhry. It will hit theatres on January 17, 2025
