Kangana Ranaut says Dhaakad is made on par with movies like Atomic Blonde and Resident Evil

Kangana Ranaut is known for her hot takes on various subjects and getting into controversial moments time and time again. All these seemed to have caught up with the actor as her recent spy thriller, Dhaakad flopped at the box office. The actor has now stated that the movie is on par with some Hollywood action movies such as Atomic Blonde and Resident Evil. 

The movie received poor reviews from the critics, following its release and there were some murmurs about the movie being compared to the likes of Resident Evil, Atomic Blonde and Red Sparrow. 

Talking about the same, as reported by Times of India, the actor said, "Dhaakad has indeed been made on that level, it’s been made on that standard there is no compromise in the making. We had lots of international crew so that’s why it probably gives a feel like that."

Helmed by Razneesh Ghai, the movie followed a deadly field spy who is on a mission to take down an international human and arms trafficker. The spy thriller also stars Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, Saswata Chatterjee among others with Rampal playing the main antagonist. 

“Kangana brings a lot to the table as Agent Agni in Dhaakad but it still feels like she did not tap into her full potential for the role. On the other hand, the second female lead Divya steals the show even in her brief appearance,” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

While Dhaakad was a dud, the actor has a few promising movies in the pipeline. The actor will play the role of an Air Force pilot in Tejas and will also be seen alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Tiku Weds Sheru.
