Kangana Ranaut, who was making headlines for her will to quit acting recently, has now started work on her upcoming film. She was seen dubbing for Emergency. The actress shared a photo from the dubbing studio to confirm the same. She also promised the release date announcement for her film with the same post.

The post

Kangana was seen in the dubbing studio. She posed with legs folded on a rotating chair. The actress wore a white Indian ethnic wear and covered her legs with a black shawl. In the photo, one can observe a photo of Indira Gandhi, which is probably a still from the film. Kangana was likely dubbing for the particular scene. For the uninformed, the actress plays the role of the charismatic Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, in Emergency.

Her caption

Kangana shared the caption, “Aaj Emergency movie keliye dubbing shuru ki, release date announcement coming soon,” with the photo. She added a smiley at the end of the tweet.

What is Emergency about

As the name suggests, the film is based on the period of Emergency in India. The Emergency was announced during Indira Gandhi’s rule as a Prime Minister. The decision is one of the most controversial in Indian history and there are many sides to it, most of which are left unexplored because of the complexity of the topic.

Emergency will be Satish Kaushik’s last performance as an actor. The movie also stars Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. Shreyas plays the role of Atal Bihar Vajapyee, while Anupam Kher is seen as Jayprakash Narayan, the activist who led a campaign against Indira Gandhi, in the upcoming film.
