The first-look poster of Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut from her upcoming film, Chandramukhi 2 is finally here. In the poster, the actress looks elegant in a heavily-embellished green sari and bedecked with jewellery. She is also seen posing like a dancer. The poster has already become a hit on the internet.

Chandramukhi 2 is directed by P Vasu and has Raghava Lawrence in the lead. It was only a few days ago that Lawrence's character in the film, Vettaiyan, too was unveiled, which shared quite a resemblance to Superstar Rajinikanth's character in Chandramukhi (2005). The sequel is all set to drop on the festive occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi and will hit screens in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi."

The film's production house, Lyca Productions shared Kangana's poster on their social media handle, and wrote, "The beauty & the pose  that effortlessly steals our attention! Presenting the enviable, commanding & gorgeous 1st look of #KanganaRanaut as Chandramukhi  from #Chandramukhi2 Releasing this GANESH CHATURTHI in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada (sic)."

Due to Kangana's presence in the film, the horror thriller is likely to do well in the Hindi belt as well. It looks like Maamannan star Vadivelu will reprise his role from the original. The rest of the supporting cast includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon and Mahima Nambiar to name a few.

It is to be noted that Raghava Lawrence had sought the blessings of Rajinikanth before he began work on the film. Chandramukhi featured Rajinikanth, Jyotika, Prabhu and Nayanthara in the lead and was directed by P Vasu. The film was a remake of the 1993 classic Manichitrathazhu. The film, helmed by Fazil, had Shobana, Suresh Gopi and Mohanlal in the lead. Manichitrathazhu is considered an iconic film in Malayalam cinema and continues to be one of the most watched films on television.
