Kamal Haasan is all set to be back as DCP Raghavan as his cop film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is gearing up for a re-release. The remastered version of the film is likely to hit screens in June. However, the exact date is yet to be announced.

Fans of the actor had already dropped a new poster from the film, which is now doing the rounds on social media along with the hashtag #NayaganMeendumVaraar. Interestingly, the hashtag is inspired from a song in Kamal Haasan's last outing, Vikram.

Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu originally hit screens in 2006. The neo noir crime thriller featured Kamal Haasan, Jyotika and Kamalinee Mukherjee in the lead, along with Prakash Raj, Daniel Balaji and Salim Baig. The plot revolves around a police officer who is a hunt for two criminals. The film was a massive hit at the box office.

Kamal Haasan is currently busy with his upcoming flick Indian 2. We hear that the actor has already completed dubbing for his portions filmed so far even as the film progresses to the last leg of shoot. The shooting is currently happening in Chennai. Indian 2 is helmed by Shankar.

The film has an ensemble star cast which includes Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani to name a few.

Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his second collaboration with the Ulaganayagan after Vikram. While Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman are in charge of the cinematography,  Sreekar Prasad is in charge of editing. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are bankrolling the project.

In the meantime, Shankar is simultaneously helming Ram Charan's next, which has been titled Game Changer. Kiara Advani plays the leading lady and the story is penned by Karthik Subbaraj. SJ Suryah will be seen in a crucial role in the film.
